    Friends only!
This journal is friends only. I may add a picture someday and I may get rid of the currently public posts someday, but for now this is all you get.

I don't why I'm like this, I only know that it rocks.
Well, I pre-ordered more DS games (it be an addiction, I know, but I want to get my confessions out of the way before I start going off with my happy tunes). I'm in a fiddling kinda mood, as evidenced by my repeated foot tapping all day garnering many comments from assorted people. I got a new (and awesome) USB mic today that is rocking my world every which way to Sunday (or something like that, as long as it rhymes). I'm going to get to talk to Megan tonight, which is always FANTASTIC. I hung out with Nathan today as a final hurrah before he shuffles down to college, which will be awesome for him I know. I'm giving a fiddle lesson AT MY HOUSE (yay for not having to go anywhere) in just a short while. I need to eat something as I have not eaten anything more than some egg noodles at Nothing but Noodles. I've been seeing a lot of my friends for the first time since school let out last spring, and that is awesome as well (Bridget, we are totally going to wiffle it up one of these days). I've got two amazing looking books that I haven't started yet that I want to read, also 44 pages of metaphysics (oh heck yes I say, I love me some metaphysics), roughly 70 pages of philosophy of science, roughly 60 pages of aesthetics, and some random other school related goodies.

Oh, and just in case you didn't know whether or not agnostics cared at all about the Bible, I'm currently engrossed in the Book of Luke. Oh heck yes I'm having one awesome kinda feel groovy day.

Can you tell that I just played a crap load of tunes whilst tuned in e and/or B?

I woke up half an hour ago . . . today is the first day of school . . . panic?

NO! I don't have class until 14:30 today, but hot dawg did I wake up late (such is the price for amazing six hour phone calls). Now I just have to peel myself away from the DS long enough to take a shower and go to class.

So, I got Resident Evil: Deadly Silence off of eBay yesterday, but I don't have a DS to play it on (aside from James' lite of course). Then it hits me, I've got $120 in my wallet right now.
My friends, my brother is already gone, and I've done a horrible deed that I know I'll enjoy once it arrives.

I'm really looking forward to playing SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters 3 on my own personal DS Lite though.

It isn't that often that I worry about myself, but I think now is one of those times. I've eaten two bagels all day today, yesterday it was five pieces of bread with peanut butter on them and a small bowl of pasta. I'm never hungry, but I also never have any energy. I've lost five pounds in a month, and I'm starting to worry a bit. If I eat even half of what I used to normally eat, I feel like I've eaten so much I'm on the verge of throwing up. I can't stay awake past 11:30PM anymore (which is fast approaching as my droopy eyes are telling me) and during the day I'll mostly just sit around. I'm going to go stuff my face right now, even though I'm also about to go to bed and that is a crummy combination. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to either wean myself back into a normal eating schedule or making myself think that I'm hungry when I know that I should be?

    This be from Joel lads.
    Instructions:
    01. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
    02. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
    03. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
    04. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
    05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

    1. How much do you often make when you and your band performs?
Depends on the gig, sometimes I'll make $70 for three hours and sometimes I'll make $150 for the same amount of time.

    2. What's your favourite Mel Brooks movie?
So many great movies, but I've most recently seen History of the World Part One, so being the freshest in my head it wins.

    3. Is a Saturn worth buying on ebay with a triple digit pricetag?
Not alone, but if you are serious about getting a Saturn don't import from Japan, go to www.ncsx.com and buy the Action Replay 4-in-1 from there because they sell the second version that allows import play of later Capcom releases like Vampire Savior and Street Fighter Zero 3. If you're serious about the Saturn, e-mail me (madforthefiddle@yahoo.com) and let me know exactly what you want out of it and I can tell you what you'll need to do.

    4. How many fingers am I holding up?
    Three of course.

    5. Which Tactics Ogre game do you recommend I play first?
Well, the Ogre series has two iterations, Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre. Tactics games are like FFTactics, which was made by the same team but under Square's paycheck as opposed to Quest's. Since you don't have an N64, and the N64 ROM of Ogre Battle 64 is kinda crummy, I will go against my better judgement and say not to get OB64 first. The Playstation port of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen is horrible, but the Playstation port of Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together is the only english version of said game, which I've yet to play outside of the Super Famicom or the Saturn (both in Japanese as I said). The SNES version of March of the Black Queen can be found on ROM, which is great, but it sports no tutorial section like OB64 does. Still, that's probably your best bet, and as for the Tactics series, you can grab Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis from a GBA ROM website as that ROM is pretty good too. If you run into questions from playing any Ogre game, e-mail me and I'll explain some of the subtle goodness that drives all but us Ogre obsessed weirdos insane.

James got a DS Lite two days ago, and he bought Mario Kart DS and X-Men Legends for the Cube as well. Good stuff all around, I'm very impressed with the Lite (although it does seem just a tad uncomfy to hold, but whatever).

I'm also in serious debt. I wish it was just for the price of a DS Lite or something, but no, think thirty times that much. That's right, I owe my Mom over $3,000, and I've barely got over $1,000 in the old account. On top of that, I haven't had work in ages, and the trip that I'm taking this weekend to teach workshops pays barely anything at all. I'm a little bit calmer about it than I was yesterday, but I'm trapped all around. I can't get a job job because it could interfere with potential gigs, I can't quit the band for a plethora of reasons, and I have less than 10 gigs lined up for the rest of the year (including one the weekend of the East Coast Tionol, but I dare not miss the gig now). I kiss the ground that Dad is paying for Goderich because then I've only got Catskills and a Megan visit to handle. That'll be another $500, just put it on my tab.

All of the Dungeons and Dragons talk this weekend made me decide to finally do something that I've been meaning to do for a long time:
Get the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition core books and play the greatest version of the game. I've always hated 3rd edition, it is bogged down by statistical details that a masterful role-player can emulate much more easily and it takes entirely too long to do much of anything with all of 3rd edition's hoop-jumping antics. I've always fancied 2nd edition via Baldur's Gate, but upon reading some of the rules straight out of the core books, I knew it was the version to play. On top of that, my Dragonlance 15th Anniversary collection (Slightly revamped editions of DL 1-15, including some stuff from *shudder* the Fifth Age (Dragons of Summer Flame and onward), like a meetings with Dalamar and Ariakan during the War of the Lance) is for 2nd edition, and everyone loves Dragonlance (unless, of course, they don't, but I certainly do).

eBay is helping me reach my goals of goblin slashing, politician duping, shadow melding, time stopping, undead commanding, or whatever other infinite adventures await.

P.S. - If anyone knows of a place I can sell my 3rd edition books let me know:
    The Player's Handbook
    The Dungeon Master's Guide
    The Monster Manual
    Dragonlance Campaign Setting
    Scarred Lands Creature Collection
Songs and Silence (Handbook for Rogues and Bards)
    Herbs and Alchemy

    Hullo.

We find our hero right near Cleveland it seems. Fun stuff.

P.S. - Since I've said nothing about it thus far, Megan is the most amazing person EVER!

    Gotta pack I do!
    Roughly 14 hours now.
I won Saiyuki, Hoshigama, and Koudelka for the PS just now, whoo hoo.

    Okay, I'm off!
    11:11 am
I'll be there in roughly 26 hours.

James' graduation is in two hours, and of course I've already been there once to drop off part of his gown that he forgot (CLS is a bit more of a haul than I remembered). Of course, I still need to eat, do some eBay stuff (because I'm an addict), take care of animals, and get ready before I leave to pick up my Grandpa in an hour. Whoo hoo! Busy day! A good thing really, keeps me on my toes.
